Faculty Enhancement

The Concept

At EdXcursions, we believe great teaching goes beyond delivering content—it is about shaping curious, confident, and capable learners. Our 6-hour teacher training workshop is designed to help educators reimagine their classrooms with practical tools, modern pedagogies, and renewed purpose.

The day begins with a powerful icebreaker, where teachers reflect on their journey and reconnect with the deeper “why” of teaching. This shared energy sets the tone for a day of collaboration and growth. Participants are then introduced to experiential learning models such as Kolb’s Learning Cycle, where they engage in a hands-on challenge: creating a lesson without relying on textbooks. This exercise highlights how active, inquiry-driven learning can replace passive memorization.

In the next session, teachers explore classroom engagement strategies like Think-Pair-Share, role-play, gamification, and Socratic questioning. Through micro-teaching activities, they learn to redesign traditional lessons into interactive experiences, ensuring every student’s voice is heard.

After lunch, the focus shifts to assessments beyond exams. Teachers examine the limits of rote-based testing and experiment with formative assessments, rubrics, peer review, and project-based evaluation. By redesigning conventional exam questions into open-ended tasks, they discover ways to assess creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

The workshop also equips educators with practical technology tools such as Kahoot, Padlet, Canva, and Jamboard. Through guided practice, teachers design short tech-enabled lesson plans that make learning fun, interactive, and student-centered. The session emphasizes that technology should support—not replace—good teaching.

In the afternoon, teachers reflect on their role as mentors and lifelong learners. They create personal “Mentor Manifestos,” articulating how they wish to impact students beyond academics. This powerful exercise helps educators rediscover their identity as guides and role models.

The workshop concludes with action planning, where every participant commits to one small, practical change they will implement immediately. This ensures that learning from the day translates into tangible classroom impact.

By the end of the program, teachers walk away with:

  • A toolkit of engaging, student-centered teaching strategies.
  • Fresh approaches to assessment and feedback.
  • Confidence in integrating simple, effective digital tools.
  • Renewed clarity of purpose as educators and mentors.

This workshop is not just training—it is an experience that inspires teachers to transform their classrooms into spaces of curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.
